How would I feel if one of my children were molested? I'd be heartbroken. I do what I can to protect my daughters. But you know what? I have sons, too. I have a father, and a husband, and brothers. How the fuck am I supposed to protect them from a justice system that will happily send them to prison for the rest of their lives on the word of a scorned girlfriend, or an angry mother, or a child who's been pressured into making unsupportable acusations?
WHat am I going to do for them after a jury's decided to incarcerate them just to be on the safe side? How am I going to ask TDCJ for a fair hearing when they will actively fight against anyone questioning their methods?
It's shocking to me that anyone is willing to support a system that has proven itself time and time again to be hasty and malicious, depriving anyone, no matter their race, of freedom on the flimsiest of 'evidence'.
